Bischof Bonus of Clermont

Bischof Bonus of Clermont, who died in 709, is the subject of a legend relating to the Virgin Mary written in the 12th c. in South Germany. It narrates, in 238 lines arranged in rhyming couplets, the apparition to him of the Virgin with saints and apostles, and the celestial gift of a magnificent vestment.
