Criticisms
The current stable releases of BitLord (up to version 1.1) are based on the source code of version 0.56 of the BitComet core. Because of this, certain bugs that have been resolved in later versions of BitComet are still prevalent in BitLord. BitLord is also being criticized for what some perceive as "selfish behavior" and is blocked by some BitTorrent Trackers. In 2007, BitLord 2.0 Beta supposedly resolved these issues. However, it is no longer available for download.[1]
The only major changes in versions of BitLord before 2.0 are advertisements placed on the BitLord interface, and that BitComet's list of BitTorrent sites is replaced with a search box that leads to affiliates of BitLord.[citation needed] BitLord 1.1 added the WhenU adware program.[2]
