Blackjack

Blackjack was an American heavy metal band from 1979-1980, featuring Michael Bolton and Bruce Kulick. The drummer was Sandy Gennaro and the bass player was Jimmy Haslip.

After Blackjack, Bruce Kulick played on the Michael Bolton solo albums Michael Bolton and Everybody's Crazy. Bruce Kulick then joined Kiss and played on part of the Michael Bolton album The Hunger.

Sandy Gennaro went on to play drums for Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett, Bo Diddley, and countless others. He is still working in the industry and teaches at The Collective in Manhattan.

Jimmy Haslip went on to become a major force in Jazz Fusion playing bass for the Yellowjackets.

There is speculation that Michael Bolton is going to record a heavier rock album with a country flare in late 2009 revisiting his days as a powerhouse rock singer. He will also be playing most of the guitar on the record as well as producing.
