Blagny

[blah-NYEE] A tiny village that straddles the borderline of the meursault and puligny-montrachet appellations in the côte de beaune district of France's burgundy region. Both areas have premier cru vineyards for white wines, which are made from chardonnay and labeled either Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, or Meursault-Blagny. The Blagny appellation is only for red wines made from pinot noir grapes.
