Blaina
Blaina is a small town, situated deep within the South Wales Valleys between Brynmawr and Abertillery.
In 1832 Blaina Band supported by Brown's Ironworks became the first all-brass band in the world.
Beynon Colliery, Blaina's last coal mine sunk in 1924, was the last conventional pit to be sunk in the South Wales Coalfield.
