Biography

Christian Teal and Cornelia Heard (violins), John Kochanowski (viola) and Grace Mihi Bahng (cello) serve as the Quartet-in-Residence at Vanderbilt University; they have also performed at the Library of Congress, the Kennedy Center and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In addition to traditional recordings by Mendelssohn, Debussy and Ginastera, the Blair has worked with modern classical composers such as John Harbison, George Rochberg and George Tsontakis, and with jazz banjoist Bela Fleck and bassist Edgar Meyer.
