Blairgowrie High School is a high school in Blairgowrie, Scotland. The Blairgowrie High School has around 1,000 students from Blairgowrie and the nearby towns of Alyth and Coupar Angus. The current Rector is Mr G Millar. Attainment is on a rising trend and has risen significantly at Standard Grade and in S2. An increasing number of Business links have been established.
In 2005, the school was one of the first twenty eight schools in Scotland to be awarded Schools of Ambition status [1]
Former pupils include comedian Fred MacAulay and singer songwriter Dougie MacLean who wrote the song Caledonia.
