( b Corella, bap. 4 Feb 1751; d Madrid, 8 Aug 1816). Spanish composer. He was conductor at the Teatro de la Cruz, Madrid, from 1790, and wrote at least 700 tonadillas; the later ones show Italian traits. His other works include sainetes, melólogos, instrumental pieces and prologues.
