Biography

The rock group Bliss formed in 1997 in Canada. It was a skillful duo team that consisted of vocalist Matt Wells and musician and vocalist Michael Trapp. Both artists already had years of experience in the music world before joining up in Bliss. The tunes the duo made were heavily influenced by earlier bands like Cheap Trick, Nirvana, and even the Beatles.

A short year after its birth, Bliss recorded a debut album, Chasing the Mad Rabbit. It was released under the J-Bird Records label. The excellent first offering carries 16 tracks, like "Once Upon a Time," "Karmic Wheel," "Wrecked, "Silent Scream," and "Blissed Out." Instead of mixing a number of styles into every tune, Bliss lets each number hold a place of its own, showcasing flavor from classic rock, arena rock, hard rock, to power pop. In 1999, Bliss made a small change in its name, becoming Bliss (This). ~ Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide
