Review

This Australian electronic artist works in a similar minimalistic vein to European counterparts Oval and Microstoria. This collection uses the sounds of piano edited into microcosmic sound files of distilled and refined tone, then set in repetitious motion. The result is chilling ambient electronica which has its roots in the minimalism of Steve Reich. This independent release come packaged in a bare-essentials card sleeve that gives the release a temporary transient feel in packaging as well as sound. The uniform design of the Sigma label gives nothing away, while the music unfolds into a hypnotic and elegant study of repletion that will appeal to fans of avant-garde electronic music. Gas, Thomas Brinkmann, and Vladislav Delay spring to mind, while Blither also has a sound that is nostalgic of Eno and Cluster. ~ Martin Walters, All Music Guide
