Chronicles of the boy wizard Harry Potter have lent a magical quality to Bloomsbury Publishing's bottom line. J.K. Rowling's mega-successful book series has brought this small publisher to worldwide fame, but Bloomsbury also has other best-selling authors on its list, including Joanna Trollope, John Irving, Margaret Atwood, and Michael Ondaatje. Bloomsbury also publishes non-fiction titles, including "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain, the famous-persons reference title "Who's Who", and the "Whitaker's Almanack", primarily through its A&C Black subsidiary. Bloomsbury is led by co-founder and CEO Nigel Newton. Non-UK operations include Bloomsbury USA and Berlin Verlag (Germany).
