Plot
This children's program is a great combination of live-action and computer-animated characters. Blue, the adorable bright blue puppy dog with floppy ears, helps her friend Steve play games and learn about their environment by leaving him clues. Steve uses his notebook to record all the clues -- great memory and logic skill-builders for children. Blue and Steve make getting ready for bed a fun and gentle process, concentrating on the slow change of evening into night. The energy level is very low as Steve whispers the songs and yawns throughout the program. The second half of the video focuses on dreams, and since this can be a scary topic for youngsters, it is best shown in the daytime. Steve, Blue, Mailbox, and the other characters share their dreams with each other, and the video includes a small segment on controlling nightmares. Along the way they meet Jane's deaf friend Carly, who tells them a story in sign language. In the next adventure, Blue has left behind a map with clues for Steve to figure out where she's headed.
