Bluetooth handset

Computer Desktop Encyclopedia: Bluetooth handset

A handset that provides a two-way connection to a cellphone via Bluetooth. Normally, it is headsets that are paired with Bluetooth cellphones, but a Bluetooth handset is designed as "retro" equipment. It looks like the common handset found on billions of desktop telephones, but without a cord. Since a cellphone is also called a handset, it is a handset to a handset, which sounds as bizarre as the device itself. See Bluetooth headset and handset.
