Bluff Catcher

This term describes a hand which will not win the pot unless an opponent is bluffing.

SoundPoker Says: In general these are very poor hands that require expertise in order to play properly.

For example, assume an opponent is betting to represent a flush, but gives off a bluffing tell. You are holding an Ace high hand. The only way you can possibly win the hand is if your opponent doesn't hold the flush, and is bluffing.

To call an opponent who you suspect of bluffing is known as "Keeping them honest."
