A production assistant-turned-associate producer, Bob Eggenweiler was perhaps best known for his association with director Robert Altman. First employed in the early 1950s by Filmmakers, Inc., the production company started by Ida Lupino and Collier Young, Eggenweiler went on to produce for both film and television. He began his collaboration with Altman in the late '60s, serving as associate producer for Brewster McCloud (1970), McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971), Nashville (1975), and Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson (1976). Eggenweiler, who also had many credits as a location manager, died on November 12, 1999, at the age of 76. ~ Rebecca Flint Marx, All Movie Guide
