Biography

Not a producer in the traditional sense, studio whiz Bob Irwin was instead responsible for reintroducing pop music history to contemporary audiences, remastering classic recordings to fit the exacting standards of modern listeners accustomed to the clarity and punch of digital technology. Typically working in conjunction with Sony Records and its many affiliates, Irwin mined the label's rich history to remaster classic recordings from the Byrds, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Janis Joplin, Simon & Garfunkel and Patti Smith.
