Bohan

Bible Guide: Bohan

("thumb")

A boundary stone, "the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben" (Josh 15:6; 18:17). It marked the border between the territories of Judah and Benjamin (Josh 15:5-7). Some scholars believe that there was no such person as Bohan son of Reuben and that the stone owed its name to its thumb shape.
