The Bordentown Regional School District is a comprehensive regional public school district that serves 2,404 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from five communities in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The district serves students from Bordentown City (482 students), Bordentown Township (1,505 students) and Fieldsboro Borough (72 students).
The New Hanover Township School District, consisting of New Hanover Township and Wrightstown Borough, sends students to the district on a tuition basis for grades 9 - 12 as part of a sending/receiving relationship.[3]
As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's five schools had an enrollment of 2,352 students and 145.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.2.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[4]

Awards and recognition
Bordentown Regional High School was recognized by Governor Jim McGreevey in 2003 as one of 25 schools selected statewide for the First Annual Governor's School of Excellence award.[5]
For the 2005-06 school year, Peter Muschal School was one of 22 schools statewide selected as Governor's School of Excellence Winners, an award given to schools that have demonstrated significant academic improvement over the previous two academic years.[6]

Notabel faculty
- Brendan Hartz, renowned instrumentalist and former music teacher in the district, has been a member of the Trenton Symphony Orchestra also.[12]
- Ellen Wehrman, Long time history/world cultures teacher in the district. With nearly a half century of teaching experience. She retired in 2006. She is well known for her distinct Scottish accent,her strictness and her quirky sayings known as wehrmanisms, such as "your locker gets an A, but you get an F",and "Spit out the gum your chewin, it aint breakfast", and "Half a name, Half a grade" She was also known for pouring her cold coffee out her classroom window. Although retired, she is still an active part of the community, she holds a seat on the district's school board.[13][14][15][16]
