Boulewarism

Business Dictionary: Boulewarism

Take-it-or-leave-it offer made by management to Labor in Collective Bargaining. Boulewarism, named for the General Electric vice president who pioneered it, required the take-it-or-leave-it offer to be presented directly to union members, thereby circumventing the union. The federal court ruled Boulewarism to be an illegal violation of the Wagner Act (National Labor Relations Act of 1935).
