[BOOR] A small town in France's bordeaux region located north of the city of Bordeaux and across the Gironde river from margaux. It's in the blaye region but has its own appellation, Côtes de Bourg AC, whose wines have a better reputation than the rest of Blaye. Red wines, which represent the largest percentage of production, are made from merlot cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and malbec grape varieties. Although these wines don't have the reputation of those produced across the river in médoc they're full-flavored, pleasant, and moderately priced.
