Biography

Although he played bit roles in films in the late silent era, tall, gangly character actor Boyd Davis spent the 1930s almost exclusively on the stage. He was back in Hollywood with a vengeance in the '40s, appearing in hundreds of bit roles, mostly as men of power and distinction -- judges, military officers, college professors, and the like.
