The Brandywine River Museum (founded in 1971) is an art museum located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania on the banks of Brandywine Creek. The museum is known for its collection of works by the Wyeth Family.
Housed in a converted nineteenth century gristmill, the museum holds a collection of works by three generations of Wyeths as well as American illustration, still life works, and landscape painting. The facility's permanent collection features paintings and drawings by Jasper Francis Cropsey, Harvey Dunn, Peter Hurd, Maxfield Parrish, Howard Pyle, William Trost Richards, and Jessie Willcox Smith.
The museum also includes N.C. Wyeth's original home and studio and the Brandywine Wildflower and Native Plant Gardens.
