Braunschweiger Reimchronik, an anonymous Middle Low German verse history of the Saxon princely house, up to Duke Albrecht I (1279). It is of moderate length (10, 000 lines) and is written in rhyming couplets. Its tone is laudatory, and its aim exaltation of the dynasty.
