We look at social and political issues from a decidedly left-of-center point of view. The blog's name comes from a scrap of conversation overheard on a Chicago subway: "Let me tell you, he's for women's rights, gay rights, and gun control. He's against war in Iraq, the death penalty, religion in schools. I'm telling you, he isn't just a leftie. The guy is brazenly liberal."
