The Borough of Brecknock (Welsh: Bwrdeisdref Brycheiniog) was one of the three local government districts of the county of Powys, Wales from 1974 to 1996. The district comprised the majority of the historic county of Brecknockshire.
The district was formed by the Local Government Act 1972, from the administrative county of Brecknockshire, with the exception of Brynmawr, Llanelly, Penderyn and Vaynor.
The borough was abolished in 1996 by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994, when it became part of the county of Powys.
