Breezy Bill

  • AMG Rating: star
  • Genre: Western
  • Release Year: 1930

Plot

Produced by the ill-named Big Four Productions, this silent Western with sound effects featured diminutive Bob Steele in the title role of a young rancher falsely accused of kidnapping his own stepfather, the aptly named Henry Pennypincher (Alfred Hewston). The real culprits, as Breezy discovers, are actually a couple of drifters (Bud Osborne and Cliff Lyons) out to rob the old skinflint. George Hewston, Alfred's off-screen brother, played his on-screen sibling in this film as well. Edna Aslin and Perry Murdock appeared as Hewston's offspring, and director J.P. McGowan played the town sheriff. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
