Game Description
Brett Hull Hockey 95 carries an NHLPA license for real players (based on the 1993-94 season) as you hit the ice for a complete 84-game season. Statistics and standings will be saved to battery, so you can resume your quest for the championship whenever you power up the system. If season play seems too grueling for you, feel free to jump into an Exhibition game (one or two players) or Playoffs (best of three, five or seven game formats). Award-winning broadcaster Al Michaels will handle the play-by-play as you skate down a diagonal view of the ice. Each player is rated from one to 100 in the following six attributes: skating, shooting, strength, stick handling, defensive skill and aggressiveness.
You can also influence how your players perform by setting each of these attributes for the team before the game. Want a team that's hard to score on? Raise the slider bars for aggressiveness and defensive skill. There is a limited amount of "power" to distribute among the categories, however, so choose wisely.
Options include playing a reduced season (11 or 42 games), changing period length (5, 10 or 20 minutes), toggling penalties and line changes on or off, and playing with or without Al Michaels' commentary. NHL fans take note: Brett Hull Hockey 95 does not feature an NHL license to allow for authentic team names and logos (26 teams are identified only by city name). ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
