Touring and Press
In 2006/07, their live shows gained them acclaim from the music press, especially after successful support slots for Mercy Arms, Midlake, Snowman [1] and The Cops [2]. They were described as "one of the hottest things to come out of this fair city for quite some time",[3] and such was their growing reputation that in December 2006 Drum Media magazine included Bridezilla as one of the bands to look out for in 2007.[4] In March 2007 the band played at the Playground Weekender music festival.
Further to their debut appearance at the Playground Weekender, the unique[5] band also played alongside international acts such as
In June 2007, Bridezilla played at Sydney's famous Enmore Theatre with awarding-winning Australian bands Eskimo Joe and Little Birdy over two sold-out nights[6].
In the same month, Bridezilla played a headline show at The Beach Road Hotel in Bondi, Sydney, which led to music paper The Brag describing them as "genius".[7]
The band were featured in the September 2007 edition of Australian Rolling Stone.[8]
Bridezilla are on the bill for this 2007's Homebake festival in Sydney on December 8.
Recordings
The band has previously recorded with Scott Horscroft at BJB Studios and there is a version of the "expansive, emotionally articulate epic" [9] Saint Francine and the instrumental Mr Young and Introduction on their myspace page.
On June 21 2007 Bridezilla performed live on MTV show The Lair, performing Brown Paper Bag[10] and a shortened version of Saint Francine. [11]
