British Basketball Association

The British Basketball Association, or BBA for short, is a proposed professional basketball league in the United Kingdom.

Backed by a group of American and UK investors, including NBA legend A.C. Green, technology entrepreneur Ken Olisa and Wall Street veteran Ron Scott. The BBA will go head-to-head with the long-established British Basketball League for the title of Britain's top professional basketball league. The foundations of the new league are still being put into place, but it has already been announced that the inaugural season is to tip-off in November 2007. However, BBA management has opted for a full ownership model along with a nationwide grassroots development programme, which will commence in November 2007 with league games rumoured to begin in November 2008.
