Review

This brief set of 1960s singles features several British Invasion acts ranging in style from the close harmonies of the Hollies ("Bus Stop") to the hard R&B feel of the Spencer Davis Group ("Gimme Some Lovin'") and the gentle folk-pop of duos Peter & Gordon ("A World Without Love") and Chad & Jeremy ("A Summer Song"). Generally the so-called British Invasion period happened in the wake of the Beatles between 1964 and 1966, so at least one song here, Badfinger's "Come and Get It," which was released in 1969, technically falls outside of that historical window. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
