Broichan

A Scottish druid who challenged St Columba [Colum Cille] and was bested. Broichan was a druid to King Brude and resented the incursion of the Christian evangelists. He caused a storm and darkness on Loch Ness so that navigation appeared impossible, until the saint gave orders that sails be unfurled; then everything became calm.
