Brooklin is a neighborhood of the Brazilian city of São Paulo, located between the districts of Itaim Bibi and Santo Amaro, in the southern city. It is one of the richest, safest and quietest neighborhoods in the crowded downtown São Paulo area.
It is very famous for the most recent financial center of the city, beyond the region of Avenida Paulista, Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, Avenida Rebouças and the city center, concentrating on its main avenues, the Engenheiro Luis Carlos Berrini Avenue and the Nações Unidas Avenue, and with offices and subsidiaries of large and important companies in the advanced tertiary sector. It is also known to harbor large and imposing buildings in different styles, from the smallest to the largest most stylish skyscrapers.
It neighbors the other rich parts of the city of São Paulo as the Itaim Bibi, Butantã, Jardins, Morumbi, Pinheiros, Alto de Pinheiros, Vila Andrade, Vila Nova Conceição, Granja Julieta, Cidade Jardim, Chácara Flora, Campo Belo, Vila Olímpia, Panamby, Santo Amaro, and Moema. The neighborhood is divided into Brooklin Novo and Brooklin Velho.
Despite being a region with the recent development to Brooklin is now considered the largest and most important financial center in Latin America.[citation needed]
