French Literature Companion:

Buabua Wa Kayembe Mubadiate

Buabua Wa Kayembe Mubadiate (b. 1950). Zaïrean poet-playwright. Of his plays, Les Flammes de Soweto (1979) treats of the death of Steve Biko, while Le Délégué général (1982) and Mais les pièges étaient de la fête (1988) discuss corruption and the pressures of society on individuals. His poems combine lyricism with social commitment.
