The civil parish is formed by the villages of Bubwith and Breighton and the hamlet of Willitoft. According to the 2001 UK census, Bubwith parish had a population of 1,104.[1]

The village was the home of ARTTS International, the film and television training centre established by John Sichel, until it closed in 2005.[2]

The Bubwith telephone exchange has been ADSL enabled since July 2005, and became MaxDSL enabled in March 2006.

Bubwith also has a primary school and a leisure centre (which hosts Bubwith Playgroup.[3]) There are playing fields at the back which are good for kiting as the field is open and doesn't have too many trees around it.
