It makes you think while you're dodging the bad guys. ~ Brad Cook, All Game GuideReview: Overall
Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle 3 is a fun game; it's sort of like Keystone Kapers meets Super Mario Bros.. You really have to keep on your toes to defeat the bad guys as you move from one platform to the next. Every level is a maze of vine ladders, warp buttons, twisting pipes, jump buttons and doors, behind which lie the keys you need to get to the next level. Best of all, the violence is all of the cartoon variety: bombs and 100-ton weights and cork guns. The premise is as follows: Looney Tunes characters have fallen under a magic spell, so everyone from
The music is a catchy little tune, and the sound effects have an appropriate cartoon-like feel to them. The graphics are also well done, and all the characters are easily recognizable (of course, given their high profile, it would have been hard to mess that up). Each of the four major stages of the castle has its own look, so it's easy to tell that the first one is the garden, the next one the main hall, the third one the basement, and the final one the treasury.
Each time you complete a stage you get a password, which is handy for continuing games, especially since there are 60 levels to play through. All in all, this game really engages both your problem-solving and joystick skills, which I think is the hallmark of any good game, whether it's Tetris or this one. Any game that makes the player think while having fun is a solid one in my book, and Crazy Castle 3 is one of the few games that should appeal to kids as well as adults. ~ Brad Cook, All Game Guide
