Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) seeks to promote business ethics, including respect for people, communities, and the environment. Companies such as General Motors, Microsoft, and Wal-Mart are among BSR's approximately 250 members. The nonprofit organization provides advisory services, training, and networking, as well as several libraries and databases. BSR helps its members learn to engage stakeholders and develop workable ethics guidelines. In addition, BSR works with corporate social responsibility organizations outside the US. The organization has received support from the US Department of State and the EPA, as well as from several private foundations and member companies.
