Business Interface (formerly The Welfare to Work Partnership) is a not-for-profit job placement and consulting organization that works to provide job opportunities to former welfare recipients seeking employment. The organization was founded in response to a 1996 welfare reform law that implemented stricter work requirements and time limits on government assistance. Initially supported by five corporations -- Burger King, Monsanto, United Airlines, Sprint, and UPS -- the organization has since added more than 20,000 partner businesses committed to preparing and hiring unemployed workers.
