C-123

 

A twin-engine STOL assault transport manufactured for the U.S. Air Force by Fairchild beginning in 1954 and known as the “Provider.” The C-123, which could carry sixty-one troops and had a range of about 1, 035 miles, was used extensively in Vietnam to resupply isolated outposts.
