Cáin Adamnáin

Cáin Adamnáin (Law of Adamnán), also called lex innocentium (law of the innocents), was promulgated by Adamnán, ninth abbot of Iona, at a synod held at Birr in 697. It deals with war crimes against women, children, and clerics.
