Biography
C. Martin Croker is the voice of Zorak, that hateful green mantis that was originally a villain on the '60s cartoon, but has forever been enslaved to musical sidekick status on the celebrity talk show of sorts Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Croker studied art and got into animation with a couple other people to make SGC2C and its various incarnations (Cartoon Planet, Brak Presents the Brak Show Starring Brak, and The Brak Show). He designed much of the original sets, made the cover art for the album releases, worked as animation director, and probably wrote some of the improvised dialogue. He's also the voice of another enslaved villain, the molten man Moltar, who's been relegated to the show's grumpy engineer. If you catch the opening bits of Adult Swim sister program Aqua Teen Hunger Force, you'll catch Croker as the voices of Dr. Weird and his assistant, Steve. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide
C. Martin Croker was first hired to work on Space Ghost Coast to Coast as the set designer, but he also got the job of being one of the main voices. The other voices were George Lowe and Andy Merrill. His first name is Clay, and simply credited as Clay in the credits of Cartoon Planet. For Zorak he first tried impersonating Don Messick, but later did Zorak his own way. For Moltar he used a ruff, molten type of voice. C. Martin Croker also voiced Zorak's nephew Raymond Zorak. In the episode Woody Allen's Fall Project Zorak is shown in live-action. C. Martin Croker is not credited as voicing Zorak, but he did voice him. In fact before C. Martin Croker voiced Zorak and Moltar those characters weren't even going to be on the show. On a commentery for a SGC2C episode he revealed that he could do Flinstone characters Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.
The Brak Show
C. Martin Croker voices Zorak on The Brak Show. In the second episode of the show Zorak gets a singing voice that was Jason Bowen, but C. Martin Croker did voice Carmine and Cloneborg in that episode. In the episode Runaway C. Martin Croker also voices Moltar.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
On ATHF C. Martin Croker voices Dr. Weird and Steve in the first two seasons of the show. For Dr. Weird C. Martin Croker did an evil pitched type voice, and for Steve he did a slightly dumb type voice. He voices them again in ATHF film. Zorak has a cameo appearence in the film, but he does not speak.
