Cañada College
Cañada College is a community college located at 4200 Farm Hill Boulevard in Redwood City, California just off of Highway 280. Cañada College opened in 1968 as part of the three-school San Mateo County Community College District. It is one of the smallest community colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area. The college is unique in that it was one of the first community colleges in California to partner with four-year universities to offer bachelor degrees on-site. It has award-winning fashion design, interior design, and video game art programs. The college has the largest English Language Institute in the Bay Area and is a destination for people enrolled in English as a Second Language programs. Cañada College historically has one of the highest transfer rates for students moving on to four-year colleges and universities.
