The CAF Champions League 2008 was the 12th running of the CAF Champions League competition. Al-Ahly of Egypt achieved an unprecented 6th Champions League cup by winning 4-2 on aggregate against Cotonsport Garoua of Cameroon .

Preliminary round
The preliminary round first legs were played on 15-17 February, and the second legs were played on 29 February-2 March 2008.
*Tourbillon FC, Tusker FC are excluded in February 10, 2008, so Al-Tahrir and TP Mazembe bye to 1st Round.
**Invincible Eleven withdrawn, so AS Kaloum Star bye to 1st Round.
On 10 February 2008, CAF announced that clubs from the Central African Republic, Kenya, Liberia and Sierra Leone were excluded from the competition for failure to fulfil their financial obligations. (Somalian, Djiboutian, Santomean and Malawian teams were already excluded, Wallidan FC and FC Civics withdrew)[1]
Six teams qualified automatically to the first round: ASEC Mimosas, Etoile du Sahel, JS Kabylie, Al Ittihad, Al-Ahly, and Al Hilal.
1/16th Finals
The 1/16th Finals first leg matches were played on 21-23 March and the second legs were played on 4-6 April 2008.
