Café con leche (Spanish: "coffee with milk") also called cafebar, is a Spanish coffee beverage. Similar to the French café au lait and the Italian caffè e latte, café con leche is a coffee beverage consisting of strong or bold coffee (sometimes espresso) mixed with scalded milk in approximately a 1:1 ratio. Sugar or a pinch of salt are added according to taste.
The beverage is extremely common in Spain and in many Latin American countries and communities around the world. In the Cuban bastions of Tampa and Miami (Florida, US), for example, café con leche is a local breakfast staple.[1]
It can be served in china, or in a glass.
