It's one of the most important cities of Aragua state because it's close to Maracay, the capital city of Aragua and even closer to Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. One of its most important places are Casa Guipuzcoana and the Mountain "El Empalado", where original aboriginal were burned alive by Spaniard colonizerds; this mountain is a great mine of marmol and a typical plant reserve such as Araguaney, Samán, Bucare and Apamate.
