Roman geographer (fl. c. AD 200) noted for his compendium, Collectanea Rerum Memorabilium, divided into fifty-seven chapters, each containing brief but unreliable sketches of the world as known to the ancients. His interest in social conditions, habits, and religious rites of different nations includes an account of the British goddess Sulis/Sul and a note of the absence of snakes in Ireland.
