Sad to say, no matter where you go on the Mediterranean coast these days, the RVs and tent campers have gotten there before you. Nevertheless, the beaches of the Camargue are probably about as unspoiled as is possible in modern Europe. Miles of white sand, grass-covered dunes and white ponies galloping in the surf are not just fantasies here. Several beaches are worth visiting.
