Cameron Run is a tributary stream of the Potomac River, located in the U.S. state of Virginia. A third-order stream, it is formed by the confluence of Backlick Run and Holmes Run; it flows eastward from Alexandria into Fairfax County before opening into Hunting Creek. Cameron Run Regional Park lies along a portion of the stream. The lower course is largely channelized and flows just south of the Beltway.[1] There was a flood here in June 2000 (see Huntington, Virginia). The lower mile or so is tidal and was nagivable in colonial times.
