Veterinary Dictionary: Canadian horsepox

A chronic pustular dermatitis caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis. The infection is spread on the harness with most lesions occurring on the harness sites. They are 0.5 to 1 inch in diameter and painful to touch. Called also acne contagiosa equi and contagious equine pustular dermatitis.
