CanalSat is a French digital satellite and DSL pay television service owned by Canal+ Group (66%) and Lagardere Active (34%), a subsidiary of Lagardère. CanalSat was founded in 1992 as CanalSatellite.

CanalSat merged with competitor TPS in 2007, forming Nouveau Canalsat. The new entity is controlled by Vivendi (owner of CanalSat) with a 65% share. Minority shareholders are Lagardère (20%), TF1 (9.9%) and M6 (5.1%).
