Packed with 17 different events, Capcom's Gold Medal Challenge '92 does an excellent job of recreating the total experience of Olympic competition. Relentless button mashing is kept to a minimum, as most events require pacing, rhythm and timing over pure speed. The entire gamut of summer events is covered, from track and field to swimming to weightlifting. The most intriguing event is the marathon, which is run for the duration of the game. Players don't directly control the runners, but instead choose the speed they will run for each leg. The presentation is a treat, featuring lively stadiums, medal ceremonies and a mix of expressive male and female competitors. This overlooked gem is definitely worth seeking out. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
